Term 2

Hi I’m the Samster as you know and we my class and school have just came back from our two week school holidays.  We have just got back and still tomorrow we are going to go on our three day and two night camp, which I cant wait to go on I think it should be a great camp and I cant wait.  My Holidays were great what about yours, because my Mum and Dad work, I have to go to my nan and pops house in Victor Harbour for the whole two weeks, and that is a good thing because I haven’t seen them in such along time.  during my time there I had such a great experience and did so many fun things like I had a round of mini golf walked around Granite Island and many more things. I would love to hear how your holidays were so tell me about it.

Later Samster :)

Leadership Quote

Quote:

Leaders grow, they are not made.

Explanation:

My understanding of this is that Leaders have to grow they are not born like that they don’t suddenly get it, they have to work for it you have to learn it practise it and then you will get it.  It means that all the leaders like Barrack Obama, C. Ronaldo and others have to work for there right.  They have been through the steps they have gone the hard yards and they have earn’t it and most of all they always say WE they don’t go around saying I’m a leader do what I say now.

Example:

Leaders grow by learning from others and what they do.

Leaders grow like a leaf on a tree or a plant of stalk.  They are no suddenly there when they are planted you don’t see them straight away they grow in the rain and they come when there ready.

Prisoners used nail clippers to escape jail

A JAIL BREAK

Last summer in Saskatchewan, Canada.  Six-high risk prisoners were chipping away at the cell trying to make a route to freedom.  After four long hard months the finally broke through using only the nail clippers.  While some inmates were playing cards carfully positioned the table to block the view of the guards, while the others are chipping away at the wall.  After the prison break the Saskatchewan goverment named the nail clippers and makeshift tools the “Devils tools”.

The prisoners where charged of murder just if you were wondering.

Ipods In Class - Position Statement

Hey Guys I’m here to write a position statement on the iPods in class policy,

Let’s stop livin’ in the past and iPods are the key to the present.  Our classroom has been discussing the use of ipods in our classroom. I am here to back up the position.

The article I read in class was also backing up the topic.  It showed that people who use iPods will actually work better.  the article showed that the two people who were using iPods can concentrate.  They were keeping from getting distracted and because they only have one ear bud in, they can keep a one one relationship with the teacher.

It is interresting, the two people who were listening to iPods actually had the two highest averages in the class.  best of all iPods are portable.  Do you have an iPod or MP3?

Do you like Music? Do you find it hard to stay on task in class? It has been proven that people stay on track, when using iPods or MP3’s.

In on clusion I beleive that iPods should be able to be used in class.  We need some modern day technolagy in here.

If you back up the statement I would like to hear from you!  talk to you soon Samster :)

S.A.P.S.A.S.A

From the 19th of May to Friday the 23rd of May I was playing S.A.P.S.A.S.A football (South Australian Primary School Athletics Sports Association) I was in a team of 21 people and I was stunned about how good the talent was in that team we played an overall amount of 7 games for that whole week. We won three out of that seven games with is an ok effort for our side I really enjoyed it and had a great time for all of that weak Samster.

Getting along

We have two teachers one called Mr.Wegner he have Mr.Wegner for the mojority of the time we have him four days a week. Our second teacher Mrs.Huddy we have for one day a week every tuesday (the day we have Mrs.Huddy), we spend time doing our YCDI standing for you can do it during our you can do it time we have been researching getting along. Getting along is encouraging people, give them help when they need it, congratulate people who try don’t just say ha ha you got it wrong they are just some of the getting along slogans that we thought about. Another task we had to do was draw a picture of us then wright around  five positive things and five negative this about us.

what I know about dolphins so far?

In my class (la20) and next door two us la21 we are doing a project on the port river dolphins. On the 14 of may 2008 I wrote this article, this morning we watched a video about how dolphins are disappearing from the Ionian Sea near Greece. There are two types of dolphins in this area of Greece. They used to see a common dolphin every day know they are lucky two see a common dolphin once a month, the reason of common dolphins disappearing is because fisherman are over fishing which leaves not enough fish for the common dolphins. Dis you know that there is a 150 bottlenose dolphins there which is the most density of dolphins in the Mediterranean sea. We are going on a dolphin cruise in week 5 I can’t wait it will be so much fun and a great experience for me.

And I know I will come back with lots more infomation then I know now Samster
